Hmmm, only the first one seems to be working, at least for me.
Two questions though. One, no escorts? Two, did Japan actually make anti-aircraft rounds for her 18" guns? [;)]

film made me think why strafing ships in WITP doesn't cause any decrease in AA effectiveness of the ship. Seems like it would make sense. I remember when i was playing Koei's PTO back in the day...fighters were able to strafe warships and decrease their AA. Too bad the same can't be modeled for WITP

I remember reading in 'requeim of Yamato' that the Yamato had some kind of special shell created for its 18 inch guns, that could hypothetically throw up enough flak to down a squadron of planes, obviously in action it was flawed.
Suprised thier hasnt been a movie about it before now, story lends itself perfectly to a hollywood war movie, and cant exactly be accused of putting the Japanese war effort in good light.

You haven't actually ever listened to all the things people protest about, have you? [:'(] There were people protesting against that atrocity of a movie, "Pearl Harbor", because it glorified Japan too much in their eyes. How do you think they'd react to a movie showing the "heroic last voyage" of Imperial Japan's naval pride and joy?

Wow. Great cinematics. According to the number of people killed on film, the Yamato must have had a crew of about 50,000.
Try as I might, I cant figure out why they threw that fellow out of the gun tub. Was there some kind of expectation for his survival? Anyone speak Japanese?

I'd just tell them to get lives.
Is this movie available for rental in the US?

I found a website that said it was just being released to DVD this month. But all the other sites are in Japanese. Of course the best Yamato experience still remains the book "A Glorious Way to Die"
But seeing Yamato, even in questionable CGI is pretty cool...

Yep. Gotta hand it to them. The cinematics are top notch. Lucas, eat your heart out.

don't think you'll be disapointed. Russell Spur did a great job putting you in the shoes of those who fought and died during her last voyage.

See, this is why the entire world should be required to speak English. [;)] So I can enjoy a great looking movie like this you know will NEVER get made in the states.
Kind of looks like their version of the last stand at the Alamo. Only their cinematics are way better than the last couple of Alamo films I saw.

no need. Her reply would simply be that Eva was stupid to be with Hitler at all given he wasn't into the personal contact aspect. That and seeing his policies in action, she'd have gone "thats stupid!" and found herself in front of a firing squad. GF unit doesn't do the whole "Submissive meek quiet GF unit thing"
