are there any good mods / scenarios for solo play?

Hi,

I tried stock, CHS cum Nik mod and RHS and all are pretty good esp when you play Allies. Try to go historical and at very hard setting- that is the fightback is thru South Pacfic, up the Slot.

I am concerned that the RHS economic adjustments will short circuit the AI. For that reason I am at present sticking to the CHS, though the NikMod is also a good choice. I just happen to prefer the CHS OOB.

Any for playing as the Japs?

I do like CHS as Japanese too. AI is quite decent when defending.

where can I get it and find out about the details?

I've got a mod that I'm designing specifically for solo play. Several tweaks have been made to both sides to make the Japanese AI harder to defeat. The main point of the mod, however, is the addition of the French navy (as Vichy) to the Japanese side. It's not realistic (although the backstory I've cooked up isn't half bad) but it adds an increased challenge without adding fictional ships into the system.

I've found the AI really crap on defence. If I'm mistaken, perhaps a CHS class scenario starting in July 1942 might be desireable. Maybe even a hypothetical scenario where the Japanese have advanced even further than historically without a Coral Sea or Midway.
