Neither myself nor my brother are able to connect or see anyone when trying to use the internet multiplayer option. We have tried using our IP Address when asked, or leaving it blank to search. We have tried switching off or on the firewall. The manual is zero help. The FAQ above is no help (maybe someone could give some advice on DMZ and where to set it on the standard XP firewall?). Can anybody help?

Putting applications into the DMZ, or setting up Network Address Transfer or Port Forwarding, is usually done in your router's administration screen.  The exact method varies from router to router, but you may be able to find good information by doing a web search for the name of your router + DMZ.  These things can't be done from the XP firewall screen.
