Cannot load game

Hello, I just purchased the downloaded version of this game. I have installed both patches. I have McAfee Security Center, but disabled the virus software when I installed the game. The game hangs at the start screen.
I have tried rebooting, installing the game on different drives, and installing under the default path and other paths without being able to get it to run.
Attached is the DxDiag File.
Thank You for your help!

What's the error that you get inside the game?? Is it a cannot find file error of sorts?? Have you patched the game?? I found it helps upon installation to disable all virus software, firewall and everything if possible. It has errors sometimes, but if you install with all things disabled and the patch too it should work. Sometimes you have to start the game up again a few times.

Try playing it with protection on. I think it should be ok for the most part. If it crashes a few times reload it. After a while it diminishes.

McAfee and other security programs are unfortunately becoming more and more intrusive in terms of compatibility issues. I've also seen a number of titles from major publishers that have problems if you try to play them with McAfee enabled, for example.
Campaigns on the Danube was developed in 2003 and at that time and throughout 2004 and 2005, we did not receive any problem reports of this kind. If new software has come along since than that breaks it, we will take a look and see what can be done. However, in general we can't adjsut the game for every new security suite - generally speaking, those folks have way more in the way of development and testing money than we do and the burden falls on them to maintain compatibility with existing applications. If turning it off allows the game to run, I'd suggest just keeping it off while playing.
