Different coloured supply symbol meanings?

I've noticed for a while that hex supply status symbols come in a few flavours.

There's the light-blue/white wones where you're in supply but there's no resup value.

But then there are 2 different colours that have resup values - one is crimson (or red) and white, the other is cream and white. They both have similar values & I'm woindering if the different colours are importnat at all?

TIA

Mike

Hi!

Whether the supply point provides supply is based on what side you are. When you view the supply sites you see both yours and the enemy's (light blue and white and red and white). In those hexes where both sides have a supply site, the symbol is white and white.

In your case the light blue and white supply areas belong to the enemy, and thus offer no supply bonuses. The red and white and white and white do.

Thanks - I thouhgyt I understood this, but it isn't working for me [:(]

Supply sources are OK - them I get - red/white = my supply sources, blue-white = the other guy's sources.

It's the symbols that give the % supply in each hex that confuse me - I'm pretty much ignoring the colour when I play hte game, but it irritates me that it gives me info that I don't understand.

For example in "Into the Reich" all of England and Ireland have red/white symbols. But in russia much of hte area north of Moscow has white, while areas closer to teh front have red/white.

moreover I have one very large "pocket" of my own troops - most of it has no symbols at all, however near the border with the bad guys it has large blue-white symbols exactly the same as the enemy supply sources.

What do these colours mean for supply??

I believe this means the enemy can trace supply through these hexes.

Ah - thanks - that would make sense for the blue-white ones away from eth supply sources.  And presumably empty hexes are just 0 supply for me, so that's not really a great issue either.
