You know it really pays not to get to know any of your men personally. I just wrote the following in my command log as I once again wrestle with the Germans around Elasson (while testing the super patch which is going to kick some serious _ss).
Saw on the History Channel that Rommel had said as a commander you cannot get to know any of your men in too personal of a fashion. I guess he was on to something there.
2 08:47 Decision time: I am going to make a stand at Elasson and sacrifice the force there. They probably could not make it out and most likely they will keep the Germans busy for a full day before they are overrun.
