SSI's "Imperialism": Are there any games out there which closely resemble with SSI's "Imperialism"?

I hope some of you may have played SSI's "Imperialism" which was sort of a nation building game with great strategy, diplomacy, trade, infrastructure, conquests and colonizations included in it set in the industrial age. Have you? If so are there any other very similar games available anywhere which are as good as it was? If so please inform me. Thanks[:)]

Have you tried Victoria Revolutions? Very fun but much more complicated than Imperialism.

I didn't know if it worked on XP.
I loved Imperialism II.

When you install the game you must open up the cd-rom and select the setup-file. Select "run in win95 compatible mode". Otherwise it will say it doesn't work on NT.
Are you running XP?
I am, Imperalism runs in Xp, why?
I didn't know if it worked on XP.
I loved Imperialism II.

I still play Imperialism...a lot of fun, simple but elegant
