I just finished the first mission, got to the missions result screen, under status it says:
Save Error: Cheat Detected.

Is this because I loaded a saved game ? Any suggestions ?

It seems you started a mission with your squad and saved. Afterwards you finished a different battle with this squad. Then you reloaded the mission and finished it. This is considered a cheat. You have to finish the mission after you saved without doing other fights in between.
