Thought these might be of use. They are from the British Official History The Mediterranean and Middle East, Vol 5: The Campaign in Sicily 1943 and The Campaign in Italy 3rd September 1943 to 31st March 1944 by Brigadier C.J.C. Molony, Her Majesty's Stationary Office, London, 1973.

I like how the US units are listed as having the Commonwealth aircraft variants.

It makes life so much easier when aircraft have spiffy names instead of alphanumeric soup! :)
