Decoys - Modifier Table

Hi All,
Just some mre information from the decoy research.
I've decided to include this table so eager DB editors have a basic guide to help them along.
DECOY MODIFIER TABLE
Modifiers for Active & Semi - Active Radar and IR Homing Missiles
Use Near & Far ATA values to determine modfier
ATA Near = Modifier versus Radar homing missiles, (AAMs and SSMs) semi and active homing.
ATA Far = Modifier versus IR (Infra Red) homing missiles (AAMs and SSMs).
ATA Value
+0.1 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -1%
+0.5 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -5%
+0.6 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -6%
+1.0 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -10%
+1.5 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -15%
+2.0 Modifier Applied - subtraction from attacking missile's %hit value -20%
A quick way to work these out is basically take the ATA value you wish to apply and multiply by 10.
I'm looking at chaff that carries an ECM sensor to see if I can make band specific decoys but that would be more for surface vessel defence. Without any sensor onboard, a generic chaff weapon with just the ATA Near value set will be effective against all Radar guided weapons. Same applies to IR missiles when you set the ATA Far value. These decoys will work launched from an appropriate mount either from aircraft or surface vessels. Sensors probably aren't required the game engine has enough to do without over-enthusiastic DB editors giving it even more work to handle. I hope this helps with DB work and the understanding of the game in general.
Cheers
Darren
