I am sorry for the slow response from everyone. We been working hard getting everything ready.

Let me first say that this is a serious enchanced version of Starshatter and not a complete new game. We have done over year and half improving the AI, adding movies to enchanced the story lines, voice overs, SFX and a lot more. I expect some new press coverage on Starshatter - The Gathering Storm very soon.

Now we have some big new to our customers of Starshatter the Original Release. We will be offering a 35% off discount to any one that has a valid serial number to Starshatter. The offer will last until some time in January 2007. More details will be available when the game is launched.

The v/o should be lots of fun but I'll be interested in what changes you've made to the AI there were one or two problematic spots with pathfinding logic that you've hopefully resolved. Large ships moving through jump gates (as Matty pointed out) and fighter recovery crashes.

 I love the offset landing bays in the Hegemon carrier. Looks fantastic, especially with the hazard tape detailing. The artwork is really spades.


Diverging for a moment.

 By the time I hit the last few chapters in 4.0 I was jumping system to system without ending mission. Each time I would perform a patterened sweep clearing the enemy spacecraft. This approach broke a fair number of triggers. This was before the limited hull repair was instituted but in general once I hit the cap ships I didn't need to check in with HQ at all.

Cool, I was a bit worried about how much I would have to pay for the overhauld version after just recently buying the current starshatter. I'm looking forward to seeing an active community in here, its a bit on the quite side now.

I tried to use the 35% promo code, however when I apply it to the physical + download, it applies the price, but then doubles the order, in effect adding $20 to the regular price, rather than taking 35% off.

Physical alone or Download alone work fine with the promo.

I've posted a thread about it (and sent a few emails, which resulted in "Call to place your order").

It's a good, deal, but you might want to get it fixed before someone ends up paying double.

I have no other reports of this but DR is looking into to make sure corrected.  Thank you for reporting it to us.

No problem. Just FYI, I've tested it on two separate computers, and both firefox and ie.
