AWD-Newbie wanted

I'm looking for a PBEM opponent to play and learn the game. I'm familiar with standard World at War but have yet to play my first game in A World Divided.
I'd like to play two successive 1-on-1 games where each player takes each side once, including mutual analysis where appropriate. [8D]
My favourite options would be with fog of war (oh, the suspense!) but without advanced supply (standard supply on, of course). Time is a bit sparse for me, but I should be able to do 1-2 turns on most days. Starting as the Axis or the Allies would both be fine for me.

Hello Mr GKar:
Your post is word for word (just about) what I logged on to post except that I only play with advanced supply (it is half the strategy of the game in my oppinion).
If you are interested in playing 2 successive games one as each side with FOW and advanced supply and AV on with regular end date let me know. I would like to play Axis in first game.

Hmm, I'd prefer to play without advanced supply at first as I have very little experience with it. But I understand your argument regarding supply as an important element of strategy. I plan to use advanced supply in the long run, just not now.
Would you mind if we wait just a little for more answers (~24 hours)? Maybe we can both be pleased - perhaps someone will turn up to play for both you and me with our preferred rules. If not, I'll accept your offer, just don't expect wonders then. [;)]

MrQuiet, send me your first turn whenever you want. [:)]
Just don't forget to have mercy with a simple supply, non-PBEM W@W-player... [&o]
The higher you win, the more you'll have to explain me later. [:'(]

I will send first turn today.
Do not wory I am all about being mercifull. Seriously I think you will get the hang of supply very quickly. Just try to be carefull to make sure fleets have access to supply. Play a few turns against the computer with adv supply so any newbie supply mistakes will be learned painlessly.
Once you go PBEM with adv options you will not want to go back.

Your turn arrived just fine. [:)]
I'll figure out how it works and send you the response of the mighty Allies ([>:]) later today. My time zone is GMT+1 which should be perfect if we both play in our evenings.

Just sent my first turn to you.
It's funny to see how much more exciting it is to play against a human - even though not much has happened yet. I found myself watching the map closely, thinking back and forth and wondering "hmm, what might he do next?". And I think I like advanced supply already, a few mistakes will probably be inevitable at first, but I'll do my very best. [:)]

Human opponents rule! Nothing is so satisfying as getting your butt whipped by a genius!

*lol* I guess so. I think I underrated the human factor - and now I can hardly wait to continue!
