DON'T DO WHAT I JUST DID!

Just finished the 2006 CFL rosters and thought I'd play a season. Picked my team and started a season. I didn't know that there was no way to start a season without a draft. CPU draft went 45 rounds, doubling the size of the rosters. CPU teams then promptly released most of the real players and kept the fake players and re-assigned the depth charts. To make it worse, there is no way to reset the rosters to pre-draft status and I didn't have the league backed up. I am totally defeated to say the least...

I really feel for you for ive done the same thing months ago, i had atleast 80% real NFL names, forgot to back up the league file and started a season, after draft and training camp i lost over half of real names to the player pool,
there is a way to turn off the draft and training camp, youll have to edit the league mdb file, Also in the new R3 patch(good luck IF EVER that will be release)(Hopefully by Xmas[:@]) which i've been waiting since it was annouce that is in developement on APRIL 06[:@],that feature is available you will be able to turn off draft, but for now where pretty much stuck to what we have...

I always backup no matter what
especially if it's something that's really time consuming.  I've paid for it dearly too many times sadly

I feel your pain. I have lost some playbooks in several different ways.

By the way, there is a no draft option in Release 3.
