Most of those who post on these boards have been playing Gary Grigsby's World at War for quite a while and have a shorthand for many things (including World at War which would be WaW and A World Divided which would be AWD).
I wanted to start a post so some of them could be defined. Anyone that wants to define an abbreviation can reply here so the newbies can keep up with some of the posts. I will update the top post with the definitions.
Let me start:

AWD - A World Divided, the game you are playing
CAB - Combined Arms Bonus
CAG - Carrier Air Group

CAP - Combat Air Patrol
CV - Carrier Volplane or Fixed Wing Carrier, US Naval usage - Fleet Aircraft Carrier
D - Deutschland (Germany)
DEI - Dutch East Indies
DoW - Declaration of War
