Ok, Who owns SS-TGS

Alrighty this forum is pretty dead so it makes me think that not many people actually have bought SS-TGS or have completely lost interest in this game. So is there anyone out there that bought this game either as a first timer or updated it from the 1st SS?

Have not purchased yet.... hanging in the shadows right now.  I may wait to the demo, but I'm reading the forum to help me make up my mind.

I'm waiting on the CD release. My old 56K modem couldn't stand 21 straight hours of download, nor would my wife be willing to have our only phone line tied up that long.

Yes, it's handy having cable. It took me just 35mins to dowload it.

I would probably buy it but I can't get my promo code and I don't want to make call to a US-based customer support from Germany. It seems that unfortunately this issue can't be solved via E-Mail.

You want your serial number. Run regedit....hkey_local_machine......matrix games......and you will find the number there.

Yup, 'updating' from the first. And I wish I hadn't; it was either the improved SS or the improved WaW and I think I made the wrong call. Even with the discount TGS is something of a rip-off for existing owners, although I'd happily recommend TGS to those who didn't buy the last version.

All you have to do is look in the main folder of SS and there should be a Serialreg.txt file in there and open it with notepad to get your serial number. However, I think he's after the Promotions code.

I have it, but I've only tested a few missions, since I'm waiting for proper TrackIR support.

Yes first timer purchaser of this series, new to the whole genre, just noticed this one as its under the matrix umbrella... but it works very nicely for me, and I'm having fun in my first campaign now after the tutorial. As many others here have said, I think - no issues about purchase if you're a first time buyer at least

I do know what you mean though - this forum practically feels like a self-help shelter, the game is out and we're left it feels to ourselves :) Quite different from the other matrix games/forums. Still, it's nice to know you all

Why?

Well... it's pretty expensive.

Calling to the USA? Are you kidding me? This is not the 80s anymore [;)]

The most expensive T-Com fee would be 12.4 cent per minute. If you have one of the better contracts it is 4.6 cent a minute. And then you could also phone via a preselection and save even more.

Send me an email and I will do the call for you.
