How important events will be implemented, like the US entry in the War and the Bolshevik revolution in 1917 and Russia withdraw off the war. Will it be hardcoded or theses can be decided by the player?

Nobody wants to answer this? Is it because people doesnt know the answer or is it that my question is a stupid one [&:]

Testers are under NDA.

I don't think it is a stupid question, given the importance of the events.

Perhaps Frank will give you an answer when next he passes through [:)]

Might be covered by the NDA. It certainly doesn't seem like a stupid question to me. I would also like to know.

I am not sure to what extent the events are 'hard coded' - certainly players can affect these events to a great extent. I have, for example, been able to prevent the Russian revolution turning into a complete collapse/surrender by taking the heat off the Russians through activity on other fronts.

Seems good. [:)]

I'm not sure exactly what the trigger is for the Russian revolution - presumably some amount of loss of morale.

US intervention is handled by the "diplomacy" system - they will only ever enter on the side of the Triple Entente, but this might be delayed or accelerated by diplomatic activities by either side.

there is also italian, bulgarian, Turkish and romanian entry to the war that can be affected by diplomacy - although in hte turkish case there isn't much time for any diplomacy to have effect!!

Off hand I can't think of any other events at all.

Heh, I find the idea of a strict NDA on this game a little funny. Wouldn't want any features to show up in the other 10 competing WWI games before this came out..:)

Can't be too strict, SMK tossed us a bone [:)]

I was rereading the diplomacy section of Azure Wish's La Grande Guerre last night and was thinking its system is decent enough, although it integrates everything into National Will (which GoA perhaps does as well, looking forward to this).

I used to own LGG, now THAT was a complicated game.  Not that I ever punched the counters.
