Old Demo vs. TGS?

I have downloaded the old demo, 3.9.4, and I'm wondering if it is a fair representation of TGS, or if TGS is far superior to the demo. If it is much better, then how? I, like others on the this board, am still undecided as to whether or not I should purchase the game. Any comments would be appreciated, and hopefully a new demo will be out soon to help with this decision. Thanks!

According information I have, game campaigns, gameplay and AI are same. That means in TGS you need blast mines just like in demo. Most notable differences are with audio/visual only. However if you don't like gameplay of demo, same stuff with better graphics don't make difference.

There are (some) new ships in TGS. The main difference is the graphics and sound. The new soundtrack is awesome and the radio chatter is really neat. The new graphics are also great.

Assuming you like the gameplay of the demo, you'll like the gameplay of TGS. I can say that I 100% prefer TGS over earlier versions (which I Beta-tested and played)

Of course, but is it worth the money? You may answer yes, I say no. I consider upgraded graphics and audio insufficient.
