Hello i still new to CC series but im playing CC V at the moment. Sometime i group or select multiple units and order to fire into an area and not at a target. How do i then get them to stop? as far as i have figured out i have to individually select them and order them to Ambush (which takes to long!!!!!) or to multiple select them and order to ambush which is worse as they ambush in the same direction and you have to then individually select unitis and change there ambush direction!!

Can you tell me if in CoI there will be a command to stop fire?????

Many Thanks :)

Nope.  Just order your Teams to Defend or Ambush...

Hehe I assumed this meant a return to the excellent cc2 feature of allowing battles to end by both sides cease firing, rather than one being forced to flee.

Except sometimes, when I order a unit to Defend, they start SHOOTING.

Yup [:)].  To reduce that possibility, use 'Ambush', and you can tweak it a little more by placing the facing arc the opposite way, but don't put too much faith in that...[;)]  The AI behaviour model is geared towards how *regular* infantry teams will respond to their situation.

CoI has the 'Truce' feature just the same as CCIII.  The AI will decide when/if it will accept it.  The AI will also offer you the choice of truce as well if thier position is weakened sufficiently.  Again, just the same as in CC3.
