PDS crashes

The PDS has crashed on me several times when clicking to add a logic box. The error seems random and can not be produced at will. The exact message I am getting is:
"Object variable or block variable not set in procedure clsPlayDevelopmentSystem.ProcessFrame
Press F9 to continue"
After pressing F9, I then get this message that tells me I must hit ESC and quit the program.

I'll see if I can track that down but if you can find a pattern to this please let me know as soon as possible.
- Do the stock plays work?
- Is it just one league? (and by extension one rule set)
- Is it just one player position?
- Is it a specific command point? 1st, 2nd, 3rd?
etc..

Is this clicking on the tool on the top of the page or actually clicking on the screen?

I haven't played a game, the crashes have all been in the PDS play editor.
I been making plays using the stock Pittsburgh team (11 man, American rules)
The first crash was placing the second command point down field for R2.
The second crash was placing the first command point down field for the TE.
The third crash was placing the first command point for the HB stepping laterally to the right.
The fourth crash was placing the first command point for the FB stepping at a 45 degree angle to the left
It has always occurred while trying to add a point on the field.
I have detected no discernable pattern. The first time it crashed was after I had drawn up 6 or so plays, the second time I don't remember how long I was using the program, and the third time it occured shortly after opening the PDS.
I'll add any new information as I get it.

I had the exact same problem. After uninistalling then reinstalling no more crashes.

That's a good suggestion. Crashes like this seem to be from the result of some files not properly being overwritten with the latest build. Especially if they've been edited in some fashion.
So something to try is to uninstall the game, then reinstalling, and putting the patch overtop. It seems to have worked for a couple of people at least.
Let us know the results.
thanks

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game...got the same crash within 10 minutes of using it. Was moving the QB. I hope you have an idea what is happening, because this is getting frustrating...

I'm still getting the same crashes, this time on the defensive side of the ball.
Either I'm the only one having these crashes, or other people aren't reporting them...which is it?
I'm fed up with it and going to take a break. DW, have you been able to make any progress on this?

I've had the same problem on both sides of the ball.
It seems to occur if you select the "Add Point" button before selecting a player. At least, that's when it occured to me.

It happens to me when I try to add a logic box. I select a player, then the add point box, and it crashes indiscriminately sometimes when I add a point. Thanks for reporting your problem Brockleigh, I hope others do as well so we can give DW as much information as possible to help him address it.

I'm not sure if it's related, but our private testers did find a crash that on the surface sounds similar. I've fixed that and you should have it shortly.
