Hi! I bought and downloaded the game yesterday. Many years ago I played Harpoon 1 and Harpoon 3, so I'm not really new to the game (just a little bit rusty!). What isn't exactly clear is all the discussion about the patch. Is it going to be released? Has any of you an idea about when? Is it going to update the UI (as I've read, but it's really not a big concern to me).
I'm sorry if I'm asking trivial questions but they are not completely irrelevant to a new player, you know. The future posts will be about tactics and warfare, I promise [;)]

Sorry for the title. I don't know where "questionsexactly" came from... [X(]

It sounds like they are very close to release of the first official patch for ANW. The previous release was only Beta Patch v3.7.1.
A number of new features will be introduced with this patch. However, the basic UI will remain unchanged.
Glad to see you back aboard, shipmate! [8D]

I'm relieved! The patch should fix the bugs to make a great game greater but I like the UI. It's nice to see my FPS playing friends looking at me as if I was alien, sitting in front of a black radar screen with no cooool graphics [;)]

Someone appears to be in dire need of their medication.... [;)]
Looking forward to a head-to-head game with you! [8D]

Another fast question. Is it worth to install the 3.7.1 beta patch? Has it some downsides?

Reportedly, it improves single player exeprience but has some serious issues in multiplayer. Thus, whether you will want it or not will depend on which game mode is more important to you.
You could, alternatively, install the game in two different directories (effectively two copies of the same game) and use one with the 3.7.1 patch for SP and the other with 3.7.0 for MP.
