more data available to the player

I hope it's not too late to make some suggestions...

It's simply about some data about what's going on, that, if available, would add to the depth and pleasure of playing Pacific War:

1) Execution Phase, Combat Reports: specify the names of the Land Units, Air Groups and ships involved. Specify the names of the ships sunk in that actions. Let such reports be summarized in a printable text file that will grow during play into a Campaign History.

2) Orders Phase, Battle Reports: let the player see again the battle, represented by the LCU, aircraft and TF icons, and the TF combat animations.

3) Ship Display (the icon and data display showed when clicking on a ship in port or in a TF):
it could contain also the ship class and nationality.
For instance:
CA CANBERRA
Class: KENT
Nat: AUS
(...then the other data).

Pacific War is a grat game, unique of its kind. After playing Steel Panthers-World at War, I can't wait to see it too receive the Matrix treatment!

Best wishes,

Silvio Giberti
