Minor weirdness and wishes (combined post)

First of all: I'm very impressed with the improvements. The graphics are awe inspiring, the cockpit art is excellent, and the framerate is still fine. Well done.
There are a few things I noticed with Gathering Storm that seem like bugs, though none of them are showstoppers.
1. Carrier landings are too difficult. You cannot land if you coast in (this is already discussed in another thread, but I wanted to list it here).
2. The shift+f2 is a nice feature, but you can't escape from it until some time runs out. I'd like to watch the ship zoom past, but then I want to be able to switch back to cockpit mode.
3. Would it be possible to make the virtual cockpit the default view? The cockpit art is cool.
4. Speaking of cockpit art: the colors on the reflections do not match the console buttons on some craft.
5. The mouse y axis seems stuck in reverse mode. I would like to use mouse-look within the cockpit, but it looks in the opposite direction of what I want. I have tried using the reverse axis setting, but it either doesn't "stick" ingame or else it doesn't work at all. Maybe it only works for steering the craft. I wouldn't know because I use a joystick.
Wish list:
1. cockpits for all ships (or at least, all fighters)
2. More flares. 10 flares is ok if you only expect 10 missiles to be aimed at you. I've never flown a mission like that, though.
3. Repairability. If your ship gets damaged, it would be cool to either call a tow ship to drag you back to the carrier, or to be able to fix your ship somehow (maybe a repair bot or an engineering panel with some wire-strippers or something). Heck, if you could jump out in a suit and weld your ship back together, it would be awesome, but nobody has done that before. Otherwise, you just drift in space without hope of rescue.
