Will this version of PacWar be upgraded to windows like SPWaW?

From what I've read its a DOS makeover patch to correct bugs and enhance gameplay.
The Windows version will be the War In The Pacific (WiTP) a new Gary Grigsby game incorporating PacWar into a Windows environment that will probably knock our socks off considering what he did with the original PacWar! Anticipated release Spring 2001...
