I bought the game from Battlefront when it first came out, but uninstalled it. I remember I had to use an activation number from them to actually get into the game--when I reinstall the game, how will this work? Does the switch from battlefront to Matrix change this at all?

You need to take your old serial number and upgrade it to a Matrix serial number.  You can find all the information you need here.

Hmmm... If I no longer have the receipt/email, is there a way to find my old number? Is it in the book or on the cd?

It should be a sticker on the box somewhere I think, but I never had a version with a license key. If you have the BFC edition installed, then the key should be available on your computer as well. Look for eLicense in the Control Panel.
