Catching abilities of receivers and DBs.

I have noticed in a recent league reset and draft that my DBs have higher catching ratings (range for my team = 80-88) than do receivers (range = 66-74). I have three questions regarding this: (1) Since it is possible to change DBs into receivers and thus beef-up the receiver corps I am tempted to do this. It would seem to give me an unfair advantage, however, unless I went through all the other teams and did likewise (a bit of a chore). I recall that in FBPro ratings were not always comparable across positions although I think DBs and receivers were interchangeable. What is the case with MaxFB? What do others do re this issue? Is it best to stay with the ratings and positions given and not switch players around? (2) Isn't it the case in real life on the field that one's best ball catchers are going to be receivers rather than DBs all else being equal? (3) How does the AI handle these things for computer controlled teams? I should add that I am strictly a solitaire player and will be playing against the AI in all games.
