When trying to run the game from one of the scenarios/campaigns after the loading screen finishes the game crashes to the blue screen of death. One of the errors that come up on the screen is as follows Nv4_disp.dll. I did not have this problem before upgrading to the matrix version. I am running a Nvidia 7950gx2 video card. If there is any other info you require please let me know.

Unfortunately this is a known incompatibility with NVidia SLI configs (the 7950gx2 is technically an SLI card). Hopefully a future NVidia patch will solve it.

I posted earlier about the this issue with the 7950gx2 and Nvidea indicated to me that there is no bug in their updates. It appears that the bug is related to the game itself. After spending over $50 for your product at least you could be more aggressive to fix this problem. If not and you delete my post, I will directly raise this issue with David Heath himself.

This is not a flame but an accurate statement.

It is the NVidia driver that crashes and not the game. It does not crash on non-SLI NVidia configs. All this points to a problem of the NVidia driver.

David Heath is aware of this problem.

I just raised the issue again with NVidia. Please send me a mail (info1848@yahoo.com) and I will send you a new exe file to test.

Just curious what was changed from the original version to the Matrix version that could cause the problem, because as I stated in the original post I had no problems prior to upgrading?

I ran 1848 just fine, but still crashed with new files sent to me. Thanks for trying but we have to try again. [X(]

I have the exact problem as well and did with the initial battlefront release also.
1848 runs fine but For Liberty! always throws the Nv4_disp.dll error.

We will send you a test file as well. It may take several tries to get this right, because we do not have access to any SLI configs. Your help is appreciated.

I have tried the latest fl171 patch, once again no luck and same result.

I have updated to latest patch where I now have a CTD where the game justs restarts the whole computer. I have a 7950gtx card where SLI cannot be disabled. I wish Hussar can fix this problem.

It has been almost 3 weeks and I haven't gotten any feedback. It would be nice to play this again. Do I need to go back to the batttlefront version?

Same here. Even sent an email directly to Hussar. I wish David Heath/Matrix would push to get this problem fixed. The game is totally unplayable.

We'll see what the progress on this is, but if it's a pre-existing issue from the original Battlefront.com release, then I'm guessing it's a challenging fix. I certainly hope Hussar can resolve this, if not then we'll make it right for those that purchased the Matrix version.

Thanks Eric. Here is a portion of the last email message received from the game designer. This problem was noted in the previous Battlefront version (after purchase) and is now still present in Matrix's version, too. There has been no further reply since.

Just a heads up from my original post, which states, I did not have any problem playing until I updated to the Matrix version, which is different to gjfortune. Probably just making things more confusing for you guys Good luck anyways

What is the status for support for the game? Did we waste our $50 or so dollars? Whatever the programming problem, there was nothing told up front at time of purchase that this game would work with the 7950gx2. If there is no response, the designer should refund our money.

hope they get this SLI stuff straightened out. i guess quad will be the standard by time i upgrade my comp[:)]
also did a&nbsp;google on the nv4 display error mentioned earlier, anyone try any of the solutions mentioned&nbsp;in those results?&nbsp;the ones i saw were old so might not apply to these SLI cards.
