I was hoping to create all the college stadiums. How do you edit the existing ones. I have paint shop pro 8. Do I need other programs, if so what are they. Thanks in advance

I THINK paint shop pro 8 will do it . I use 10 myself plus gimp for editing . I`ve never unpacked a stadium myself , which you need a hex editor a 3d modeling program to creat stadiums . The game has 6 stadium . Several guys have unpacked them , and remodled them . If you go to fbmax.com you`ll see some , also look in unsorted area on that page . Theres at lease 30 to 50 different creations . I myself did several, Theres a big file with 1960 stadium and several canadian ones i did . Most i put ads on walls , put ivy , or put brickwalls on concreat walls. Did all that by either painting bmp`s or cutting and pasting on them .Also made several different scoreboards , by filling in or pasting . Guys like Local8h showed me and gave great ideals about it . So hope some of this helps , the game can be so interesting creating many things for it .

Unless you know how to unpack the stadiums, you need to go to
www.fbmax.com and download those. They are unpacked and ready to use. There are a number of graphics within the stadium folders you can edit. I use PaintShop Pro, perfect choice.
But, to actually edit the stadiums, physically, or to create new ones, you need to use a 3D program like Milkshape, Blender or Lightwave.

Gamespace? Hadnt seen that one. I'm a Blender user, but will give that one a look. Wonder if its an offshoot of Truespace?

GameSpace is a Caligari product similar to TrueSpace. It shares the same basic modelling and animation engine. It does not have the advanced image rendering engine that TrueSpace has. I was a beta tester for about two years for both TrueSpace and GameSpace and had a consultant (for lack of a better word) roll for GameSpace. The GameSpace desktop icon is the head of a familar football player model [:)].
Currently, all modelling and animation is done with TrueSpace 6.1 but GameSpace should provide equal functionality if you're not trying to render off pictures & movies.
Other 3D modelling packages, like Blender and MilkShape do have the ability to export the additional data files the game needs in order to know how to use the models and understand them as being part of a stadium. This is likely what is causing some custom stadiums to crash the game; the additional data files are not being created (or modified) properly. I've added some code to try and catch these errors, but I won't know how effective that will be until it's out in the field being used with these stadiums.
