I want to purchase for a Christmas present for a family member. The store seems to only allow "digital download". Surely I'm doing something wrong and this can't be correct. Thanks.

Why? ;) I want it NOW like everyone else...why must those of us that want cd/boxed version have to be last? :P I think it only fair in the future that you wait for your download release until the physical release is ready as well. That's what I would do if I were king. ;)

If u go log in the matrix member site, then add your download game number after registration I saw the option to get the physical shipment, I do not think a manual is included.. so what is the point.. other than those unable to use dr?

I have no problem with with this limitation...., but why can't I pay $59.98 now, get the "digital download" now, and you can ship my CD (backup) when you have it available? Doesn't sound like "Rocket Science" to take down a shipping address with the order. This was the reason I tried to order by phone in the first place..., and the person I spoke with didn't even seem to know if their WOULD BE a ""physical" version.

I don't have an order number..., I didn't order because they didn't have what I wanted available. And when I go to the store now, I'm still given only,

Digital Download PC Download ($49.99)

as an option. Where did you happen to see the "$9.99 Physical" option?

A. because it is (or was, plans were to have this available for the FOF release) not technically possible. Even while I agree it does not sound like rocket science there is also not a simply buttons for this too. Such things have to be arranged wit DR, they have to look into it and check if it is possible/manageable for them. Then such a system has to be tested too to avoid problems.

B. phone order, the guy is a DR phone support guy. He can pick up your order, do not expect such people to know anything about the company they pick up orders for, or even what this company plans for the future. Sadly that is the way it is with many telephone supports these days. It is all outsourced stuff.

Just to clarify...If we buy the digital copy now, we can opt to pay $9.99 in a week to also have it sent physically? Or do we have to wait until the boxed versions are available? Thank you.

Right now you will have to wait if you want the physical copy.

This is not the boxed version, it is just a DR backup copy CD.

Then this is EXACTLY what I wanted. The game with a "hard backup". THANKS FREEBOY! Still gotta wonder why that's not a straightforward purchase option, and why the "sales teams" "cribsheet" on the game didn't include that informtion---but now I can at least order it.
