Can't pbem WIR

I can not get the pbem to work on WIR 
.. My battle partner/opponent sent the game files to me. (he =German, me = USSR) He has patiently tried to help me. But, no matter what I do they don't seem to transfer, overwrite, or what I don't know. [&:] The game keeps telling me the file is not a secure pbem, and it goes to the old game I had saved in that slot. I am using windows xp, and yahoo mail.. Can any one help me please [&o] ..has anyone seen this, do I have a setting wrong or ??

on the computer so any help points please keep in laymans (read idiot) terms so I can fix them.
