Unfortunately I am one of those who’s PC is using NAT to connect to the Internet. And having no access to the router I have never had the opportunity to play H2H.

Will the upcoming re-release of CC3 (CoI) address this issue?
I really hope so. I can run all those modern FPS over the net, but I really would love to go H2H with good old CC3.

If you can successfully connect H2H with FPS's, then why can't you do this with CC?  If you are trying to 'Host' a CC3 Battle, then you may need more connectivity than if you are trying to connect to another Host (which is what your FPS games must be doing?).

CoI will do no differently to CCIII.  Make sure that the Application (CC3.exe) and any associated services are enabled in your Firewall(s), and the right Ports are open.

An alternative might be to put your PC on a DMZ if your Router supports it, but this will be an unprotected setup apart from what you might have on your Local PC.

If it helps, here are the necessary Ports for CC Connectivity:

47624               TCP
6073                 TCP
2300~2400        TCP
2300~2400        UDP

Hi again.
I just sow that you replied me over at CSO Close Combat. Yes I am a little desperate to get connected [:D]

As far as I know - When I play something like battlefield 2 I connect via server which is no problem behind a firewall, but with CC3 I connect IP to IP – an that’s a problem if you do not control the firewall, Right?

Thought I read something about servers in CoI – but that is just to hook up with other gamers I guess….

Thanks for your reply

Sounds like if you can get someone else to Host, you should be able to connect?  (that someone else becomes the 'server').  You will still need those Ports open anyway...

Hosting is the #1 problem regarding H2H CC Gaming.
