No time limit?

Im interested in finding out if its possible to make the game run longer, the war ended for me in 1865 (as is historically correct) but the fight was just getting interesting.... is there any way to adjust the playtime to, lets say 1889?

You can modify the victory points required to win, though I notice that right now you can't modify the differential victory requirement (that is, to have 32 points more than the other player).
To modify this, open the file Data\AcwConstants.txt and find the entry "VPsRequiredToWin" then change the 24 to some bigger number. I'll make the differential requirement modifiable in a patch.
