"Instant Battle" issues ...

Cheers Gents !
I am not sure, if my "observations" are better placed in the "wish list" or over here.
But any way.
The outcome of any encounter in detailed, quick and instant battle can be quite different. Fine.
However, in the first two "modes" the player has quite some control on reinforcements from adjacent "provinces", while there is none in the third.
Not a big issue in itself. But the manual does not say, what will cause "reinforcements" in instant.
Here is what I saw in the "early 61" Scenario.
My "Siege Div" is working on Fort Monroe in Rappahanock. A large "Corps" under Lee is in Fredericksburg.
Gen Lee gets attacked by a rather small force - should be able to handle it by his forces. But ...
In "instant" my "Siegers" are called in ! Breaking the Siege at Fort Monroe ! To help out Lee - who should not need any help.
I may have missed an important passage in the manual. Sure. [&:]
But since "instant" is the only option in a PBEM, either an explanation of "reinforcements" parameters is needed, or a priority list for the player, allowing reinforcements at all, and if, in what priority needs to be implemented.
Or house rules should be negotiated ... [8|]
Cheers
