Hi guys,

My comp is a P3-1000Mhz, 128Mb, with a GeForce2 32Mb card. Yeah, it's old...

The only thing I really want out of Starshatter is to experience a deep strategic starship combat game with a truly dynamic campaign - and after playing the demo of the old version of the game it seems that this might very well be it....

I have a slow net connection so it's not easy for me to simply dl the demo of StGS...

What I'd like to know is - how customizable are the graphics in S:tGS, will I be able to run it on my low end comp if I kill all the gfx and play it on a 800x600 res? I absolutely don't care about the graphics - I think that I could play this wonderful game if it looked like something from a decade ago.

Unless your video card is DirectX 9 compliant don't try Starshatter The Gathering Storm as it very graphics sensitive.

Radeon 9250 might do it, and general price seems to be less than 50 €.

Even though your GeForce2 card is below spec, it might be enough if you crank everything down to minimum detail.  I'm more concerned about your system RAM.  The dynamic campaign engine uses a lot of memory as it is trying to keep track of hundreds of ships spread across an entire star system.

I just don't think you would be happy with the game's performance, even if you got it to run on your equipment.
