The first time i started a campaign, just to get a feel to see if this is any different than the battlefront version i had, I accidently clicked 'slow' for the auto battle resolution speed. Now, I can find no option panel to change the speed, and I am stuck having autobattles resolved very very slowly,

is there any way to change my settings?

If all your involved armies are set for quick battles instead of tactical battles (the button with a computer screen and crossed swords near the bottom left when you select an army), there should be a pop-up before each battle that gives you the option of what speed you wish to view it.

When you are on defense,  you don't seem to see the speed select before the battle starts.  I can't tell for sure, but I think the defensive battles are running at the same speed as the one selected for the last offensive battle.  But I'm just guessing about that.

You can select the speed when initiating an attack in quick battle mod. You can alter the speed even if you do not attack.
