I don't get use to play DOS game and I've never played Pacific War before. I would like to know if sound would play during the phases.

Nope no sound. Though Matrix has put a sound file in the opening

I hope that in the next release of WITP that their will be some sounds. Though hearing bombs dropping and guns firing can get a little tiresome sometimes. Perhaps some background music..or the option to put in your own CD while playing.
