Routine Convoys

To maximize the efficiency of routine convoys, am I better off leaving large numbers of MCS ships in port in LA (or Nagoya), or should I be reducing the ship groups in port to a single ship and fill up the ship pool as much as possible? Does it even matter?

Incidently, why does the game insist on increasing the number og MCS ships you have in a given port week by week? It is annoying to have to go around and put them back in the pool again occaisionally.

My experience is that it does not matter where MCS or TK are. Nagoya or LA is only important for escorts

Thanks Sven.

And to think that all these years I've been wasting my time transporting all the odd MCS and tankers groups back to LA/Nagoya and returning excess ships to the ship pools when it didn't even make a difference in routine convoys.

I have similar questions. Does it mater where the ships are if they are not in an isolated port. Do they need to be returned to pools?

Can light cruisers and sea plane tenders serve as escorts if in nagoya......Are they effective. I have tons of gas at palenbang...should I try and move it to the mainland?. Palenbang is not isolated.

What are tricks along those lines....i have got the oil ...subs arent hurting me and I am short of oil.

"I have tons of gas at palenbang"

That sounds serious Seth, maybe you should see your doctor:-)

Sorry it can't give you a serious answer. I'd like to know those answers myself.
