I might be missing something obvious here, but is there a way to run it in window mode so I can alt-tab out when necessary?

I have asked this in several posts.... at present its not possible unless you accept your windows desktop will be at the reduced resolution. I'd love to know whether this is in the list for implementation. I hate the current fixed resolution.

Agreed. Make sure you put this on the "wish list" thread. It's one of the more common wishes.
