Reinforcements, Auto Join Question

Hello...I have two questions: one about Reinforcements, the other about Auto Join

(1) I've been playing the basic game. At the end of each term is the status report (if that's what it's called) which shows details of what happened the last turn. It has been showing that there are 103 brigades in need of reinforcements, however 0 brigades that have been reinforced. Is it correct that reinforcements come once brigades are completely built? I believe this is the case, but am not sure. I have not been able to reinforce any of my Southern brigades thus far.

(2) I've tried (on a few occasions) to "auto-join" some brigades to Armies nearby. Both times, the order status bar shows that they are connected to the chosen Army, but then the next turn, they still show up on the map as being seperate.

Thanks for anyone's help, and for a great game!

dont confuse reinforcements with replacements - reinforcements are those guys that show up in battle when you call for help, replacements are individual men sent to understrength brigades

each Camp produces 500 replacements so if you have 4 Camps there should be 2000 guys being sent to your brigades in need

if you're showing zero replacements distributed, it's possible none of your brigades that need them are in supply (i think thats how it works)

Well, in that case, the replacements would go to garrisons. There must be some brigade somewhere that needs men.

If the enemy is occupying a city that has a camp then that camp won't produce replacement troops, so perhaps that's what's happening?

The OP said he was playing the Basic Game.

I thought I'd read a number of threads saying that since Camps don't exist in the Basic Game, that there are no replacements.
