Has it been updated to include the scrolling fix? It was the only thing stopping me from buying the game.

This is the second demo yes, and it includes the additional code on scrolling. The scrolling can be further tweaked if the manner it functions don't please you. By default there is a delay, it start slow and then accelerate (kind like in Civ4) but some prefers no delay and fast&furious from the start. In this case you need to alter an ini file though, as the option is not presented in-game.

Thanks for the quick reply. My rig has integrated graphics but a gig of ram. I tried the demo before but the cursor moved very sluggishly. Hope that it wasn't my rig as this game does look good. I don't have time now for Forge of Freedom but, there is no crime in stacking these games until I do. Thanks again and I hope I can be one to purchase it.

Did you try switching to the software mouse cursor?

"Hardware" mouse cursor is the less system intensive one ie: the regular white mouse arrow.

ok, so it's not a scrolling problem issue, but a low FPS one, if the mouse cursor is sluggish. This is, as you guess, coming from the integrated chipset you have, 90% sure. Please check that you have a video driver from 2006 though.

As Adam said, the hardware cursor respond faster.

You can also switch to a lower resolution. By defaut BOA use the same one as your desktop, and it can asks too much on your video. Use AGESettings, switch to hardware cursor and then click on FullScreen, resolution 1152x864 for example.

Where is this demo located?

I just checked the game's homepage and couldn't find a link to any downloads (which is where Matrix usually keeps its demos).

Could anyone direct me to it. I am considering buying this game but am a bit leary after experiencing great dissatisfaction with "For Liberty" and (to a lesser extent) "Forge of Freedom". If this game is no better than those two, I'd rather not waste my money.
