i get "range check error" whenever i try to load game - reinstalled to see if it would fix, it didnt

I am also getting the 'range check error' but it occurs during the turn execution - seems fairly random as it does not happen that often ie most turns work fine. After the error the game seems to hang and I have to ctr-alt-del end process to get out of it.

Is this with 1.70 or 1.71? Please send a few saves: info1848@yahoo.com

New error message this time on pressing endturn

Game then hangs. This is the first time I have seeen this error. This exception error and the earlier range check error are intermittent and most turns run fine.

Running v1.70 on windows xp media edition sp2.

Just got the game , played the tut scenario and I got the range check error . after about 7 turns   i had 1.75 intalled.  does this have a work around yet?

Try reloading the last save and hit END TURN.
If the error occurs again, then please send the save to the above email.

FYI, I'm now getting it, too. Version 1.75, playing the American side against the computer, middle of the computer's turn. Only thing I haven't yet tried is rebooting the computer.

I'm getting the "Range Check Error" only after upgrading the game to the latest version. This occurs during the game while I am playing British against the AI American. Has there been a fix for this yet?

I too got this error message when playing as the British with version 1.81. After you click on the error message to clear it, the turn clock comes on and it the game just freezes and cannot be continued.

I sent the last save file before the error to the above Yahoo email.

Wouldn't mind a bit of an update from the developers on whether they are working on this. Right now, my campaign is at a standstill because of this issue.

Something, anything from the developers about this error? I sent in my save file though the above Yahoo email and didn't get any sort of acknowledgement from anyone.

I have just replied to someone with a range check error. This is the only save that we got rewcently. If you did not get a reply, please resend the save. Give the mail a meaningful subject, eg: FL error. It is possible that some mails get caught in the spam filter and in that case I may miss it.

My PC is unplugged right now due to home renovations, but I will re-email the save file as soon as the renovations are done and my PC is up and running.
