Thanks for the suggestion, I don't feel their service would be appropriate. I do not own all the works that I have and do not feel it is my choice to upload them to this type of site with this type of usage term(see below). I will leave it to the authors of the mods to choose if they want to use this service.

I have found one option that is similar to grouper's functionality some may remember it from the 90s Hotline or at least a open source version of it GLoarbLine.
The break down:
- message board system similar structure to forums
- its not p2p but client server
- irc like chat/private message/
- Resumable file transfer (upload and download)
- no install needed
- user rights assignments
