Have been playing USA and can not win even when the CSA still only held 4 states so I re-read the chaper on Victory Points. [&:]

The manual states that you get 1 vp for each city captured that creates less than 6 manpower, plus 2 additional points for capturing state capitals.

When I captured Nashville I should get 3VPs correct, but i received 0.

Is this the correct interpretation of the rules? Have I discovered a bug?

go to your nation screen and see if you take a snapshot of it and then post it here so we can see what that screen looks like

At this time I have captured Wheeling, Nashville and Chattanooga

So should my nation screen show Cities 3 and Capitals 2?

Additional 2 only for *national* capitals captured.

Rule book on page 96 states
"+2 additional VP if enemy state or national capital"

If the rule book is a typo, I should have 3 points for cities?

1 each for Wheeling, Nashville and Chatanooga.

I noticed I received 0 additional city points the turn after I captured Nashville and 0 capital points.

I will start a game on an easier level to see if I can notice any repeatable patterns.

This is definately a bug.

I have save game files now of the turn I capture Chattanooga and another of capturing Knoxville where I do not receive VPs for these captured cities.

Can you zip and send your savegame files to ericbabe@west-civ.com?  (Both the .sve and .rep files...)  I'll take a look.  (I'm looking over the code for this section and I don't see anything right away that could be causing this problem.)
