Looking for help.

When a unit enters a friendly controlled city, for example ninety-six in the tutorial scenario, and I click off that unit the icon disappears into the city to be replaced with a pulsating box with a number (the # of armies I suppose). The problem is I can't make the unit reappear. I tried clicking, right clicking, and shift clicking on the box, the city picture, and the name with no effect. At this point I am frustrated and need any help offered. Thanks.

It could just be your mouse cursor.

You should be able to left click on the town to make your unit re-appear. It works for me.

Try going to AGESettings in your game folder and select hardware mouse - this will give you a regular mouse arrow. See if that works.

Thanks for the try.  I changed the mouse settings to no avail.  The mouse seems to work fine in all aspects of the game.  I've never encountered a mouse problem with any other game (including other Matrix products) or program.

does this problem appeared from the start? Do you have an occasional pop-up (anti virus update, anything) that can appears when you play? What about armies, can you select them?

First time we see that, I confess.

I have no anti virus pop ups or updates.  The mouse cursor works fine until the units disappear into cities.  I can choose menu options, select scenarios, choose sides, click and drag units for movement etc.  But once the unit icons are gone and the pulsating box appears I can't retrieve them, though the mouse cursor still functions in other areas of the game.

I got them. The things are not really looking good, as I replied to you in a mail. Your computer is far below the mini specs of the game (minimum config being 512 Mb of main memory and a 64 Mb video card, you have respectively 256/32), so I'm unsure if something can be done to alleviate what you have. A positive note though, I also see that your video driver is heavily deprecated (from 2002) so with some chance by just patching it you can solve this issue. Aside that, hardware constraints will speak I fear.

Thanks for prompt reply.  I'll try to patch video drivers ( or jump to a new machine:)

I think it is time yes. One can say that you optimized quite much the money spent in your machine here!
