There seems to be a problem with the US fuel supply. All my bases, except where HQ's are, slowly run out of fuel! I have noticed that when the US/Allied supply is displayed that there are NO tankers shown, ergo no tankers are sailing! Big Bug!!!!
Pray for Patch 2.2 or the new Pacific War Game!!!

Where are your tankers at? If they aren't on the specific West Coast base (San Diego?) they won't sail on routine convoy.

They were in LA> I moved them, 30 - 40 tankers, to San Diego and only 3 of them sailed, then they stop!????
Any ideas? I do get 350+ Merchants and DE's sailing out of LA, but no tankers!

My experience is that tankers aren't critical for the Allies as the merchants used to bring a mixed load of fuel and supply in the routine convoys. It's not a PBEM game?
Apparently the routine convoy system doesn't work for the Allies in PBEM games.

Routine convoy not working in PBEM Games ?????
Is this true? Do tankers need to start in San Diego to be used in routine convoy? What is the best method to getting the most out of routine convoy in a PBEM Game? Sure hope my opponnent does not read this but I am putting all available MCS in LA, Sidney and India. Is this good? What to do with AO's?

I just played a long PBEM and saw similar effects regarding allied fuel on islands. But fuel was being delivered via MCS. I seldom saw tankers used at all, although some were in all US West coast bases and Calcutta. I thought the tankers were only needed to pick up allied oil from fuel producing bases such as Anchorage.
Fuel levels dropped for me on islands where there were air groups training. I dealt with the fuel situation the same way the Japanese have to deal with it,... by moving HQ around.
All you have to do is save Asiatic Fleet from early destruction and move it around in the rear areas untill more fleet HQ arrive. Easy trick...

Tankers need to be in San Diego??? When was this made known? I put most of them in LA (where they sometimes sail and sometimes don't) But someone let me know if I need to have them in SD instead.
I also see the Allied fuel problem (Fuel 2 at some bases where I'm trying to base planes)

I get around it by keeping about half of the tankers at Pearl Harbour and Noumea. From there I just run convoys, but the dammn tankers are sooooooo slow. That and the Jap subs.....
I never thought about the Asiatic fleet thing, I usually just let it get decimated.
But I did find a bug or "feature" related to HQ leaders both the regular and Air leader.
First my complaint, is that you can't check on their stats or to see if a new leader or whatever leaders are available for an HQ without selecting to change the leader. you get charged the PPs even if you keep the same leader. But here's the good part. If want to remove an HQ's leader, say maybe to get Mac or Hart out of Manila or whoever is in charge out of Malaya, just select to change the leader and ESC out of the selection screen. You get charged the PPs but the leader is out and in the "leader pool" This is cheaper in PPs than changing a base and relocating an HQ to get the leader out of harm's way.
