I am considering picking up this title while i slowly study Forge Of Freedom and await a printed manual. Is it interactive? I want a wargame that i can play without excessive reading and interface struggles. Thanks in advance[&o].

1848 is free and liberty has a demo. the tutorial is good, interface is not cluttered, all relevant info with just one click. no micromanagement [:D]
no need to click on each town and set how many horses you want to produce, all supply is set at a given amount per city except coastal cities will supply more to british troops and inland more for the colonists. manual is not large and should only take one reading if that.

[&o]Thanks, what you're saying then is that there is a resource/production "pool" as opposed to telling each and every city what to produce? Cool...i'll dig further[:)].

you got it THP, each city produces a certain amount of each item per turn, guns, men, and money. each city and hex produces supply as well and quite a few hexes produce no supply so be careful if you got armies running around in the wilderness! the most clicking i do every turn is checking my armies to make sure their stances are set correctly. training if not in any danger and attack or defend if enemy is threatening.

I downloaded the Demo and tried the Tutorial, and am now downloading the game. I have been playing 1848 for awhile and like that one very much, so this one is a must have.
