Move-wise FitE

Nobody yet has published an AAR depicting in extreme detail why each unit moved to where it did and why and I thought it might be useful to those of us who are beginners in TOAW to have such a document so that playing tips might be diseminated more widely and so that we could generate a discussion, perhaps, of what is a good idea and what is not.
Having said that, let me first of all state pubicly that I don't think of myself as an expert of anything and I may make some mistakes in my game playing as depicted in this AAR. If you have a question about anything I do ( or don't do ) please, please, post something so we can all discuss it. I'm willing to learn how to be a better player.
FitE is my vehicle of choice in this AAR since there seems to be a lot of interest in that scenario, especially as of late. And an AAR in extreme detail, move by move is going to generate a lot of pages ( posts ) and a lot of pictures and movies and if you're one of those who depend upon dial-up to receive this AAR, my appoligies right up front.
I thought I'd post a picture or two of the front lines and my intended axis of advance shown with green arrows so as to document where it is I think I need to go with the Axis forces at the start of hostilities. You'll notice I tend to stay on the roads and if neccessary by-pass Russian forces and leave them to follow-on units to deal with. The supply tends to be better on the roads and movement is much faster on the roads and highways.
Here's the North half of the front lines:

Here's the southern half of the front lines. The Hungarians and Rumanians, etc. don't get to move until later in the game so I didn't bother showing how they're going to move but I do intend them to press for Odessa as their primary objective at first.

I tend to want to move the units in order as they are listed in the Order of Battle. Accordingly, the OKW HQ is
listed first. I move it by rail toward the front lines. Whether or not it exerts it's HQ bonus on surrounding units
while it's embarked is something I just wondered just now. Anybody have an opinion? The next listed unit is the
62nd Pioneer unit. It's an engineer unit and would be most useful in helping other combat units cross rivers etc.
So the question is where to move it so as to be most useful. The situation is depicted below:
As you can see I have searched out all the nearby hexes looking for engineer units and moved them to the top of
their respective stacks so as to better plan what to move to where....the goal being to move the nearest units to
their nearest goal hexes so as to minimize the movement points spent and avoid duplication of effort ( ony one
engineer unit in each river hex, etc. ) and avoid traffic problemos.

As you can see there are about 11 engineer units nearby and the only river is the Neiman River so I'm thinking perhaps a good movement plan might be something like this:

No that's much too confusing isn't it. Maybe a movie or two of the units moving might be better.
Something like this:

The next unit to move that hasn't moved already is the 413th Pioneer unit. Again I have moved all the nearby
Engineer units to the top of their stacks, and I propose the following movement plan:

Happy to see you are back in the forums, I have followed with great interest your prior AAR'.

Size limitations limit me to the number of frames I can incorporate into a movie so this is just the first few moves:

Hey hey Bibbo dude. Thanks for your post(s). I'm hoping not to dominate the AAR forum but thought something like this was needed. I sure wish it was available when I was learning TOAW. Lemme know if it's helpful ( all you guys ).

So when all the movement in this area by the Engineers is over we're left with something like this:

The next unit in the order of Battle to move is the 504th Pioneer. There isn't a good place to put this guy so he's
immediately of use so I propose to just move him closer to the river so as to be available if needed later. Some
may object to my moving him adjacient to the enemy like that but I'm thinking those enemy units are going to be
moved by combat and maybe it won't be a problem, although stacking limits may argue against my putting him
adjacient to the enemy units. What's your thoughts?

The next Engineer to move is the 511th Pioneer unit. The situation is thus:

Here we have a situation where it behooves us to get more information on the whereabouts of the enemy units by
doing some recon. I propose we move an MP unit or something along the roads etc. so we can pinpoint the best
place(s) to put our forces.

The 541st MP unit is handy so let's move that guy:

So now we find the best place to move the Pioneer unit. I propose something like this:

The next unit to move is the 512th Pioneer unit. Again, there's no good place to move him to so I propose we just move him closer to the river thusly:

The next unit to move is the 513th Pioneer unit. I propose moving it to the following spot ( and some other proposed moves for other units as well):

The next that hasn't moved yet is the 517th Pioneer. I think maybe it's a no-brainer to move it onto the river hex so
as to facilitate the moving of other units across the river to get a surround on the Soviet unit it's adjacent to there:

Next to move is the 519th Pioneer unit. I can't think of a better place to move him than this:

The next one is the 541st Pioneer. I can't think of a good place nearby to move this guy to. I propose we leave
him for later, after we've moved some other units. Maybe we'll get lucky and get some Russians to retreat before
combat and have a need for him someplace other than where we moved him for instance. Here's the situation:

The 601st Pioneer is next. I propose the following moves:

The 614th is next. There is really no great place to move this guy to so I propose moving him closer to the river
like the other engineers in this situation. Like this:
