This is not a full AAR by any stretch, just a sharing of some unusual images from the start of my latest 1775 (alt) CG, this time as the Americans.
The AI Brits under Gen. Howe waited until Nov to attack my forces milling about in front of Boston, at which point the arrival of Washington and his staff had solved my under-command problem; this was the result of the first day's hostilities...is this normal? [X(]:

And that was only the first day! Here is the second day (when I "lost"):

This is all that's left of the British in Boston. Obviously, Washington is in worse shape, escaping only with a couple regiments, the Art and some wagons. Both sides seem to have suffered 95%+ casualties! Although, I had some 8 militia uncommitted to the battle that were absorbing replacements in Newburyport...so Boston does not look like a good place for the British to hang around...in fact the turn after this, the British fled Boston...on foot!...scattering in seperate detachments into the NE countryside. Which I am now in the process of hunting down...
Why did they not evacuate by fleet? The RN was busy sailing around off Charleston for some reason. [&:]

they often don't coordinate between each other, it depends on some rolls. Perhaps the chances are too low though, I want to check all the AI code while upgrading it for AACW anyway.

despite the result, at least it seems like it could have actually happened, both sides suffered which is in stark contrast to FOF where only one side seems to suffer most battles.[:D]

No matter which side I play, I find the enemy likes to hole up in cities and let me siege them for a few turns weakening them. Other than this strange feature, I find the AI fairly challenging on whole.
