Missing Operation Highland medal (TGS)

Simple problem: I've just finished Operation Highland, automatically starting Shining Fortress (haven't played any missions there yet). However, I haven't received the corresponding campaign medal I should've gotten for completing Highland.
Any ideas? Is there a way to edit my player file in order to get the appropriate medal? I've opened the file with Notepad and everything's pretty clear except the Stats field, which is a block of seemingly random (but obviously not quite) letters with no apparent meaning.

This just happened to me as well. I killed the manticore carrier (didn't bother with the goliath), and after the de-briefing I got a page that had a black bit in the middle. It looked like it was trying to show something but couldn't. I Hit close and the next campaign started.
I don't have the medal in the log book either. Forunately I have saves and plan on going back to kill a few more ships from that campaign.

Almost the exact same scenario. I killed the Goliath sometime before winning the campaign. During the last mission I tried to kill the Manticore, but it managed to quantum-jump away so I ended up with having just one kill: a Broadsword DD.
But once that was done, I got that weird black screen, top and bottom frames in place as if there was supposed to be a video or something, and a Close button. Seeing that nothing was happened, I clicked on that button and then Shining Fortress started but I didn't get the Highland medal...
PS: Unfortunately, I don't have any saves around, since the autosave remains at the start of Shining Fortress, with my only other savefile.

For me, in the first Starshatter(since TGS still won't work for me no matter what drivers or settings I use and so far no support from Matrix), the Highland campaign usually finished only after both enemy carriers were gone. Sometimes one of them would quantum jump to a planet(right on the ground) and become inattackable but after several days of pointless patrol missions the campaign would end normally.
I suggest you try to kill all of the enemy ships. If you take the enemy carrier by surprise and attack it before taking out all of the cruiser BGs it might not be able to quantum jump.

There's no way I can do that now...
And it doesn't make any sense. The campaign did finish, and I don't know how the amount of carriers present when it did can affect getting a medal awarded just for completing the campaign...

ShadowB, you have the same exact problem as me :p. My group took out the Goliath, and then we caught the Manticore with her pants down and her escorts a few hundred kilos away. I think she jumped for me too, because after my destroyer squad blew up her escorts she just dissappeared. The operation didn't end for me until I did a few more patrols with no action, but I got the same no video/no medal scene.

Looks like it's a general issue then. I don't want to do that campaign all over again... [:(]

I wouldn't mind, its a point plethora. Heck, you get about 1500 for taking out the Kitts squad and the minefields togather on the first mission. Milk run :p

If I was sure it'd get me the medal I should have by now, I'd consider it. But no, it's going through an entire campaign for just a chance of getting the award...
Problem solved!

Damn, we're all too impatient! Just play one more mission (I played a custom mission, but one in Shining Fortress should get the same result) and the Highland medal will appear in your logbook. [:'(]

Nice, same here. Back to my cruiser group, and explosions.

Heh - I Suppose that makes a little sense, though I'm still replaying the finals of the Highland campaign (going to try and take out BOTH carriers at once!).
Note: I've actually played a bunch of missions since, but they were all Highland campaign affairs. Still no medal.
But that still leaves the bug that there is a black screen when you finish. I'm guessing it's trying to further the story, as just "ending" the campaign so suddenly doesn't make much sense.
And I don't get why killing the Manticore but not the Goliath results in an instant finish. After all the seperatists still have a heavy-duty carrier.

Ok, so I DO have the Operation Highland medal. But I know that I wasn't "given" it in the same way I recieved my other two medals.

That's right. It's the same deal with the medals from Shining Fortress and Firestorm. I get that weird black screen at the end of each campaign and the medal doesn't show up until I play a single mission or one from the next campaign.
PS: Haven't beaten the last campaign yet, but I guess it'll be the same case there as well.

Shining fortress worked fine for me. Got given my medal plus was given a "debriefing" on the situation before starting firestorm. I "completed" it by destroying one of their carriers shortly after they "invaded" another system (even though by that point I'd destroyed the fleets that were supposed to be doing the invading

). No idea how many more "events" there were scheduled in the campaign that I pre-empted.
Thus I get the feeling it depends how you trigger them. I did look at the campaign data but there are too many non-clear terms in there to let me figure out what the actual finishing conditions are etc.
