CHS 2.08 opponent(s) wanted (CLOSED)

I'm looking to dip my feet in the Pacific for the first time ( those who promise to apply lube and refrain from making me go .... souieeeeeee will get first dibs on my newbness [;)] ) Opponents can expect 1+ turns a day, with the occasional 2-3 day lulls in turns (rare). Oh ya, and lots and lots of questions, did I mention I might have questions ?
After messing around with stock for a bit, I've been tinkering with CHS with some minor succes that almost leads me to believe I might even pose a bit of a challenge to a human player !?! Baring that I may be willing to resort to sending booze or some of my prescription meds if required [:D]
Open to most anything at this point in regard to map/conditions or "house rules" as they are.

I am not sure if I am running 2.08 at this time. I have several games going at this time, oh about 9. I am currently playing a NIK MOD so I would have to see if you might be up to it.
You can talk to some of the others I am playing to get a feel of my playing style. As far as honesty and willingness to keep going even when things get bad.
As far as house rules I really do not have any. I am pretty open to just about anything goes in the game.
If after all of this if you would like to give it a go let me know. I guess you are looking to play Japan?

Yikes !! its ADM "always a turn in my inbox" Halsey !! [;)] 9 seems almost like work to me ?
I guess I could play the red team ! I was figuring to play easy mode first time around ( lol , runs away from all the allied fanboys) but I did manage to get witpdecoder running so I don't feel as intimated by the Industry side of things with Japan as I did when I was first learning to play.
I'm only really concerned with activities in game that could be construed as overwhelmingly 'gamey' by the majority of players ie: running Japanese subs up the lanes to panama and the sort. Other than that it would be any activities that tend to detract from the immersion factor but that is really more of a subjective thing. I would rely on your sportmanship in this regard, in return for my generous gift of the boost to your gaming ego [8D]. I fully expect the wheels to fall off the cart as I progress in my first game but that alone would never be enough to fold up and do the Cartman.
If you would like to check what version of CHS your running that would be great, I'd also be willing to play scenario 157 (?) ( the one with 2.08 and the nik mod combined?)

I'd be up for a game too. I'm fairly experienced with the Allied side but am willing to take a stab at Japan.
I'm most interested in the experimental A2A versions. I currently have one other game going and could probably do a turn every other day most of the time as Japan. As the allies I could do one turn a day most of the time.

@ OSO
I'll download the scenario (159?) I assume the one without immediate Soviet Navy activation and give the change file a read. Pace is not really an issue, feel free to take all the time you need for your turns but expect to be inundated with the occasional stupid/silly question about the game.

@ OSO recieved and replied
ADM Halsey, I'll stick to one game to start with. I'm jumpin' right in and trying to defeat OSO's superior Japanese pilots in CHS's experimental A2A model (scn 160 I think) wish me luck , lol ... only witp decoder can save me now ! I bet you wish you had that thing when first learning this monster ?

The version I am currently running is CHS 2.7 plus NIK 157. I looked today to try and find the CHS 2.8 but could not find the files to down load. Where are they located and I can get it installed and up and running tonight.

Halsey is a good opponent. I'm playing him as Allied player and its about 11/42. He has managed to keep me from a counter attack longer than I expected....and at one point he scared me pretty good. Play him as if he could appear anywhere, he might. Escort convoys, don't foolishly risk critical assets. If you think about the consequences of your actions and don't overract to him you might be OK. If you play emotionally or make any assumptions about what he will or will not do, he will take advantage of all your mistakes. He does not make many. While I have seen him only as Japanese, from what I read he is even better as an allied player.

TY for the heads up, but to be honest any experienced opponent at this point will certainly have the drop on me after the coddling provided by the AI me thinks.
ADM Halsey - I'll need some time to start the Japanese effort in futility but before I even start, email me a heads up with your prefs and what scenario to load. I'll then confirm settings here and we can begin the lesson, Oh wise wave sage [&o]
I just tried loading a PBEM save into the decoder and failed horribly, I need to clarify where to add in batch file
PasswordHere<--- I have entered it with no spaces at the end of the 'rem' line ??? help?
EDIT - figured this out....the PasswordHere kinda threw me off, password needs to be input in the line below it ....

I have everything installed, CHS 2.08 with NIK 2.08 157. As far as options I would like to sub option off, all bases expand, no player defined upgrades. I will leave it up to you if you chose these or not. As far as the debugger I have never used it.

Thank you for the complement. I have enjoyed our game greatly.
