I downloaded for liberty today, the full game, installed it and everything worked fine. I was finished, shut down my computer and today, i started up the computer and when I click on the play icon on the start up menu, it makes the drumming sound but nothing happens. 1848 dosnt work either.

Any ideas?

Did you make any other changes to your computer at all? Have you tried an uninstall and reinstall yet? What do you run for anti-virus or security software? Any other unusual apps running? On the surface, I have no idea what would cause that if everything else remained the same. If a reinstall does the same thing, we'll investigate further.

No changes had been made. I have macafee home security for anti virus software.
 
I recently discovered that when I press play and nothing happens, if I press control - alt - delete and the task manager comes up, in the processes tab it has "for liberty.EXE" and when I shut down the computer, suddenly the game starts.

For some reason, its working now. I turned on the computer this morning and both 1848 and for liberty work. I have no idea waht was making it not work before, but it does now, sorry to trouble you!

I have to "log off" to get this game to start - and NII, too. You hear the drum roll and then - nothing...
Strange. No other game from Matrix have these hang-ups.
